    This is not a test. This placement tool will help you find suitable English as a Second Language classes. The placement will take about 60 minutes to complete, so make sure you have enough time before starting. After finishing the placement, you will get an email with your class levels. Please take the Guided Self Placement only one time. Before starting the Guided Self Placement, you should explore EVC's course offerings.

    Please have a current computer with an updated operating system and web browser. Your computer will also need a working speaker or the ability to access headphones. Compatible computers are available at the ESL Lab.

  • Autocolocación Guiada en Inglés como Segundo Idioma (ESL)

    Esto no es un examen. Este instrumento de colocación te ayudará a identificar cursos adecuados de Inglés como Segundo Idioma. La colocación tomará aproximadamente 60 minutos, así que, antes de empezar, asegúrate de que tienes suficiente tiempo.   • Tự Đánh Giá Khả Năng Anh Ngữ (ESL Guided Self Placement)

    Xin lưu ý đây không phải là bài kiểm tra. Bài tự đánh giá này sẽ giúp bạn lựa chọn các lớp ESL phù hợp cho bạn.   • If you are a U.S. high school graduate, have a U.S. high school diploma, a GED, or equivalent, you can automatically enroll in Transfer Level English without taking the Guided Self Placement tool. Transfer Level English is a college composition course with 3 units of degree applicable credits to attain an associate degree or transfer to a university.  

    You can also enroll in credit ESL courses that meet your needs. Please take the Guided Self Placement tool if you prefer to take ESL classes at Evergreen Valley College. 

  • Si eres egresado de escuela preparatoria (high school) en Estados Unidos, tienes título de escuela preparatoria de Estados Unidos, título de educación general (GED) o su equivalente, te puedes inscribir automáticamente en Transferencia nivel inglés sin completar el instrumento de Autocolocación Guiada. Transferencia nivel inglés es un curso universitario de composición con unidades de crédito aplicables para obtener título de asociado (associate degree) o para transferirse a una universidad.
